World of Asuras

Search “Asura” on its own and you’ll land somewhere between various mythologies, a handful of anime and manga characters, and at least three unrelated films. That’s not what we mean by it. Inside Bugasura, an Asura is a specific kind of thing, a named, specialized AI agent built to carry out one kind of testing work. The World of Asuras is the platform we’ve built around them, and the AI agent marketplace we’re building toward. Here’s exactly what that means, what’s in early access today, and what’s still ahead.

What Makes an Asura Different From a Generic AI Agent

We didn’t want to build a standalone bot that gets dropped into a project with no memory of what that project actually is. Every Asura runs on our platform layer, which means it inherits your requirements, defect history, and product context before it runs a single test. Attach an Asura to a project, and it doesn’t need to be configured from scratch. It already knows what to prioritize, because it already has access to what the platform knows about your product.

That’s the whole premise behind context-aware AI agents done right – a generic testing bot has to be told what matters, every time. An Asura already knows, because it isn’t working in isolation. It’s an execution layer sitting on top of everything Bugasura already understands about what you’re building.

The Asuras in Early Access Today

We currently have four built-in Asuras, and we label all of them early access: real, but not the finished, final version of what we’re building. You can join the waitlist from our World of Asuras page.

Browser Asura navigates your application the way a real user does, not by clicking through a fixed, scripted path. You author tests in natural language, with no Selenium scripts, and it runs across browsers, capturing screenshots and video when something fails. It understands your user flows and prioritizes the journeys that matter, instead of testing every screen with equal, undifferentiated attention. Whatever it finds escalates automatically into your Bugasura issue tracker, with context attached.

API Asura validates your API contracts, edge cases, and error states, and integrates directly with your CI pipeline. When something breaks, it escalates straight to your issue backlog, and no one has to notice a failed check and log it manually.

Duplicate Bug Asura monitors incoming bug reports in real time and detects duplicates before they clutter your backlog. It uses semantic matching rather than exact-text matching, so it catches the same underlying issue even when two different people describe it in two completely different ways, and it can notify your team on Slack.

Mobile Asura runs autonomous mobile testing on real device clouds across iOS and Android, not simulators alone. It understands your app’s flows from your existing Bugasura context rather than following a fixed tap script, and it covers gesture, orientation, and interrupt testing, visual regression across screen sizes, crash log capture with auto-triage, and context-aware test path generation.

Browser Asura, API Asura, and Duplicate Bug Asura run with unlimited automated test runs on our free plan. Aside from these Asuras, if Mobile Asura is what you’re after, talk to us.

Two other things sit outside that free allowance. Running Asuras at production scale, with a priority execution queue, SLA guarantees, and custom Asura development support, is part of our Custom tier. And once third-party Asuras arrive in the marketplace, individual agents may carry creator-set pricing, so you only pay for the ones you use.

Building Your Own Asura

Beyond the four we’ve built, we’re building an AI agent SDK so a team can create their own AI testing agent tuned to their own domain, instead of waiting for us to build it for them. The SDK is in active development, and developers can join our Early Developer Programme. Our World of Asuras page shows what building one looks like: a custom “SAP Validation Asura,” made by extending an AsuraBase class from the @bugasura/sdk package and giving it a name and a domain of its own. If you have a specific, unusual validation need, this is the route we’re building for you.

We’ve designed this so you will be able to go two directions with what you build. You can deploy your own Asura privately, on your own Bugasura instance, for your team’s use only. Or you can publish it to the World of Asuras marketplace, where other teams can discover, fork, and adapt your work. As the marketplace scales, creator monetization is designed to scale with it, the way it does on other marketplace and plugin ecosystems.

What’s Live Now, and What We’re Still Building

We want to be exact about this rather than let a marketplace vision sound bigger than it currently is.

Live in early access now: the four built-in Asuras, with Browser, API, and Duplicate Bug running unlimited automated test runs on the free plan.

Still being built: the SDK for developers, the public marketplace where outside creators publish their own Asuras, creator monetization, and pricing for third-party Asuras. If you’re evaluating us because of the marketplace vision, here is the honest state of it. The built-in agents are the foundation, and the open, third-party marketplace is where we’re headed next, not something we’re claiming is finished today.

Why the Platform-Context Model Is What Actually Matters

It would be easy to make the headline here “how many Asuras are available.” We’d rather you take away the underlying idea that every Asura, built-in or custom, starts with your project’s existing requirements and defect history instead of starting cold. A marketplace full of agents only matters if each agent actually knows something when it starts working. That’s the actual premise of agentic QA, and it’s the problem our platform layer solves underneath every one of our current agents, and every custom one you build on the SDK.

Where This Leaves You Today

If you’re looking for AI agents for QA that cover browser-flow testing, API contract validation, duplicate-bug detection, or mobile testing on real device clouds, all four of ours are in early access, and the waitlist is the way in. If you have a specific, unusual testing need none of our built-in agents cover, the Early Developer Programme is how to get in line to build one.
